Wageningen University has been using PIE, BID and Clocks since 2015 to improve the efficiency of timetabling and the overall utilisation of education space across campus. By integrating the timetabling software into PIE, no-shows and inefficient use of classrooms are instantly visible, allowing the timetabling and space management teams to take data-driven decisions based on continuous and accurate data.
Overall, the University now has more capacity available without having to build or lease more space, whilst student numbers have been steadily increasing over the past years.
“We were aware that we would soon hit the limits of our education capacity if we would not find smarter ways to manage our rooms and timetables”
