Last month, we have released an update of Spot – our mobile app for finding an available workspace. We are very proud to share the key improvements.
Improved home screen design
We improved the home screen design with building selection that shows you how quiet or how lively it is. Next to that, some details on the building are shown, amongst which how many neighbourhoods and workspaces are available.
Multiple ways to find an available workspace
We added different ways to find an available workspace. Spot still defaults to recommend you zones based on how many workspaces are available now and in the next few hours, but you can also browse by floor or view the current occupancy for each neighbourhood.
Improved neighbourhood screen
Besides showing how many workspaces are available right now and in the next hours, Spot also shows an hourly graph with the occupancy trend. This way, you can make a better-informed decision on where and when to work. The trends graph uses real-time occupancy data together with algorithmic predictions based on historical occupancy. Bonus: Spot also shows when a neighbourhood or floor is more busy or quiet than usual!
We’ve also optimised the login and install experience on iOS and Android. Besides these improvements, Spot contains all of the features you already know, such as the ability to hide specific neighbourhoods, floors or towers, so you only get recommendations for neighbourhoods that you prefer to work at.
